I have a mental status evaulation this coming Thursday for my SSD. I'm not sure what to expect. Any advice?

Generally they are just a lot of questiions, like day, date, remembering words, defining proverbs, hearing a story and answering questiions about it. Take a deep breath, center yourself and you'll do fine.

i had the mmbrain scan done...now waiting for my doctor to come off vacaion to tell me if i qulifie for dbs

Yes, this is a test you want to fail. It is a series of games to test your cognitive (logical thinking) skills, long and short term memory skills. You get points for failing the test. You want to make a 48 to pass (fail). This proves that you need to be on SSDI. I told the psychiatrist that I worked for 47 years, so I guess it is time for me to have a break. He agreed and made sure I would be able to collect my disability income. The tests are actually fun. No worries, just remember the worse you do the more likely you are to pass and collect money monthly.

MagicMax- are you any relation to Magic Mike? LOL You are correct. If you want to collect DBL you must not try to do what you used to be able to do or remember. If you show you can function at top level you will be denied. You might want to be examined when you are on down time with your meds.

Just answer the questions to your best ability. If you have PD its not that easy.
