this is challenging question. For me quality of life is not a singular experience. It varies according to many different factors, one major one of course being the extent to which Parkinson's is beating me up on any particular day. But it's equally affected by the people around me, my ability to succeed at something I've set my mind on, the news, and my overall circumstances. This suggests that there is something in any definition that is to do with satisfaction against expectations, both of which are variable feasts.

Quality of life is the determining factor in whether getting up in the morning is preferable to staying in bed.

Quality of life depends upon one's perspective. Cognition and mobility seem very important. But elsewhere, people are starving. As a pwp, quality of life can improve with more and better available services for advanced pd.

Quality of life is an introspective measurement of how you rate your own ability to make it through the day and the factors that influence this. It is not stationary, and is too subjective to be measured against anyone else. However, it is something that in ourselves we constantly strive to improve or maintain, even without knowing it. For if you were to stop assessing yourself then you would stop living life.

Quality of life is getting up in the morning and achieving something. Whether it is giving a friend a hug or getting some housework done. It could be as simple as smiling at the person passing by and getting a smile back. as long as I can say I did something today my life is productive, even if it's just telling my husband he's loved.
