Driving was so important to me and it is gone. Life however continues and I realize there are far more important things. Love to all. fightingparkinsonss.com/202...

Driving....

It is important to see an eye specialist who has some expertise in vision and eye issues that can happen with Parkinson's.
Why no driving? Did you fail a driving test? My neuro suggested a driving test. I said sure, no problem. I assumed I'd pass easily. BUT the nurse administering the test failed me and wanted to take my license. I refused to hand it over.
I believe I failed because of depression. I used to own a veterinary clinic in Wyoming. I ran it for 40 years. Now I live in Connecticut and don't have a job. I had to retire. Because of savings we're doing okay. But I don't like it here. I wish I were back in Wyoming.
I took the test again. The guy passed me but said he doesn't think I should be driving. Maybe if I take the test again, I'll pass it.
i voluntarily stopped and also would have been stopped as I had an eye challenge and it is part of PSP my new probable diagnosis
Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) causes vision problems because it directly damages the areas of the brain responsible for controlling eye movement, leading to difficulties with looking up and down, slow eye movements, reduced blinking, and sometimes double vision; essentially, the brain cells that coordinate eye movement degenerate, causing impaired visual function.
