FUS at Vanderbilt: Received an email today... - Cure Parkinson's
FUS at Vanderbilt
Hubby's neurosurgeon there emailed me about FUS. He wrote that they treat both sides, 9 months apart. Interesting. . .I believed FUS PTT was only performed in Switzerland.
Thanks for posting Despe.
He started the Sinemet almost 2 & 1/2 years ago and I think at that time it was decided PD. I never even thought about changing the info on the profile. At this point some of his symptoms are quite progressed, so right now he is trying yet once again the B1 therapy. Thankful that I can still care for him at home. He needs help all night as well so I'm hoping to find someone who can fill in for me come November when our second born has her first baby due and wants me there with her at delivery. A couple of years ago we hired someone for a few months for about 4 nights per week, but was not very satisfied with the result. Among other things, occasionally I would wake up hearing him calling (from where I was sleeping in the next room) and then I would go in there to wake her up to do the helping. You can see that wasn't the most helpful to me, and it seemed to cost a fortune.
I hear you. . . Have tried several care givers through Home Health Care (Medicare A). None were even close to be satisfactory! Are you aware of this program? I do hope you find someone to help you so you can be with your daughter when she delivers.
Hubby sleeps fine with some good supplements, including melatonin 5g, at least an hour before bed. So far we still sleep together. . .don't know about later.
