Hello All,
Of to WPC tomorrow š, hope to meet with anyone else attendingš„
I will be there š
Iām here! White polo shirt with NoSilverBullet logo!
Iām hoping youāve found the trip super productive. If yes, please spill the (macuna) beans as soon as you can. Iāve not seen much in my newsfeed sad to say. Was hoping for good news, something encouraging.
Hi JCRO
It was truly an amazing conference. With so much happening, it is hard for me to give you a full overview, but here are some thoughts.
First of all, it was striking to see how thriving Parkinsons research is. If you exclude Covid and cancer research, Parkinsonās comes as number 4 on a global basis
Second, it was unexpected for me to see that many speakers are now looking at Parkinsons as several diseases, rather than one disease. This also means increased complexity, including when it comes to clinical trials, but it is probably the way forward if we want to find a cure that may help some of us in the future.
Thirdly, I attended a session today on exercise and Parkinsons (which was preaching to the converted ) that was providing scientific proof of how critical exercise is. Exercise is a therapy that is immediately available to all of us.
Finally, it has allowed me to meet a lot of people who are watching our NoSilverBullet sessions from all over the world, and realise firsthand how impactful those are to many people.
good luck everyone who goes- looking forward to hearing all about it
Lucky you! I wanted to go but was afraid of the long long flight from Washington. I'm hoping the next one is closer to the U.S. so I don't have to travel so far. Enjoy!
