I guess it’s a good thing for researchers that it doesn’t seem to be a results driven business. Between Brin and the MJJF, there’s been several billion dollars invested with very little to show for it.

The only problem I have, every time I see how much money is being spent on looking for treatments for PD when they should be looking for ways to REVERSE THE SYMPTOMS OF PD, LIKE FAST WALKING and making intricate objects like Chess Sets!

I was not aware of this research or the donations from Sergey Brin. It's exciting to know this type of research is occurring and there is such a generous donor out there. I know the results seem to come slowly but I appreciate this none the less.

How can that benefit us, personally?

I don’t know if any research will ever help me but I hope every bit if it brings us closer to a cure. May not help me but it still excites me to know what is happening and maybe something will be found to help my adult sons or one of my grandkids, and now I even have great grandkids it could help. I understand it isn’t happening fast enough but there is a lot going on we don’t even know about.

I share this same view. As far as a cure goes, it isn’t happening in any of our lifetimes. Although it’s to late for us, it doesn’t stop me from praying and hoping for a cure so that one day others will have a chance to recover from this horrible disease.
