How all! Curious if anyone has ever tried sleeping with a weighted blanket to help control tremors in bed? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

There have been some posts on this in the past year or so. For me I already feel like any blanket weighs a ton but I am non-tremor dominant.

Ok thx. What dominant are you?

Non-tremor usually means rigidity and slowness (bradykinesia).

Hi! I have weighted blanket and I use every night! I love this blanket! I would not say that controls my tremor, but definitely helps , because reduces anxiety! I was hesitating to buy but my daughter brought it for me! I hope it’s help.

I tried one but the weight kept waking me up. I also found it even harder to turn over in bed.

I have used one for about a year, and it has helped a lot. I used to have frequent bouts of REM sleep disorder (acting out dreams, sometimes violently) but have had zero incidents since starting with the blanket.

A weighted blanket would be my worst nightmare because my bradykinesia and rigidity is at its worst at nighttime and I get anxious and panicky when not able to turn over in bed because of the suffocating nature of the normal weighted duvet... but that doesn’t mean it’s not going to help you so my mantra is try anything twice!

The weighted blanket does wonders for my wife when she has trouble sleeping. She has tremors and rigidity and it really helps.

How can you recommend a brand or the name of one?
