Update on Affiris Vaccine - Phase 1 results
Looks promising.
Hope they will go as fast as the vaccine for Covid-19.
Thank you for sharing.
Ya, it's promising and interesting that they're using active immunotherapy which is using the bodys own immune system to do the dirty work. The study stated that their udprs scores were steady after 3 plus years which is also encouraging although the study was preliminarily just a safety study. Of course it could just be placebo, but I'd love to get some of that placebo if the data is correct
Certainly it will be a major benefit to have infrequent treatment sessions. 4 weekly iv infusions are not an ideal solution.
I don't mind if it stops progression and is affordable
I agree. I would be happy to keep benefitting from no progression with th BIIB054 I am trialling, but that involves an IV infusion every 4 weeks
This looks much less trouble
But I'll take the one that works !!
Having taken part in the Roche Prothena Pasadena trial . . . every 4 week infusion is no picnic! Hopefully, one of these trials will lead to at least a slowing in the progression of the disease. Such positive comments. from Affiris give us hope!!! And, thank you Michael J. Fox for providing the necessary funding for Affiris.
Fda have already approved the phase 2 trial which is planned to start soon. Be interesting to see the size and time frame of it.
