Good catch Gio.

A report published by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) in Berlin (2/20/2020) found that 130 people died from the flu this season, while nearly 13,300 have been hospitalized. A total of 79,263 cases have been recorded since autumn.

Versus 700 deaths in Germany so far from COVID-19 WUHAN (03/31/2020). I would assume Germany will catch up with the mortality rate of the UK (1,800 deaths to date) and France (3,000 deaths to date) down the road. It is inevitable.

Confirmed case numbers are still flawed due to the test kit problem everywhere. So the validity in using them as a yard stick with this virus is very suspect unless you don't know any better.

Keep safe Gio.

Sharon,I will do it,

only the RKI and the devil know what's going on in Germany.

It would seem that only hospitalized dead people count, those therefore with a detailed medical record.

As you say unfortunately the virus will make its way.

As I know them they have Calvinist principles and they intensely believe that it will be different for them.

I quote: "for Calvin the believer was not to resign himself to his destiny, but to search within himself for the signs of his belonging to the ranks of the elect, predestined for salvation”.

Germany's data is truly suspect.

The percentage of Germans > 65 years old almost matches that of Italy, very close. Both countries have undergone massive foreign immigration in the last 10 years in the millions (about 10 million in Germany; 5-6 million in Italy). A major influx for both countries. Both had a flu season where older people were at risk subsequent to avoiding death from flu.

Yet Germany declares only 800 deaths compared to Italy's 12,500.
