I am new to this site, but not exactly new to Parkinson's. I received the diagnosis when I was 71 and am now 73. Looking back, I realize things had begun to manifest at least 3 years prior to diagnosis. I chose to blog as a way to keep the Lewy bodies at bay while I try to Learn/Teach all I can about the variety of symptoms, strategies, therapies and even the silver linings one may find in our journey into the unknowns of Parkinson's I am trying to be as transparent as possible.. It appears to me, that most of the bloggers I find have experienced early onset PD. Am I wrong? Or is it because the early onset disease progresses more slowly, so they can function longer? I found one blogger who made only four posts.. the last thing she typed was that she had fallen and broke her collar bone.

Welcome! I have found this to be a very informative and inspiring site. I hope you will, too! I believe "early onset" refers to your age at diagnosis...so it refers to younger people who are diagnosed in their 20's, 30's or 40's. Their disease typically progresses more slowly. Michael J. Fox is a notable example.
I'm technically challenged. Still trying to figure out where I am supposed to go, to respond to a comment or question. I received a question from Juliegrace in my email linked to this site, but I don't find her. Julie, I was referring to independent writers who have their own blogs.
I never looked for someone's profile on this site, but happened across a reply Juliegrace made. I clicked on her name & found her profile. You should be able to reply to her there. There's a Message box you can click if you want to message her. Here's the link: healthunlocked.com/user/jul...
