Is it me but can't flex muscle like I use to
Flexing: Is it me but can't flex muscle... - Cure Parkinson's
Flexing
I'll bet it's the PD.
I was complaining to a friend who is 10 years older -73- about losing weight, all of it muscle. Even though he does not work out he flexed a bicep that was hard as a rock.
Since I have recently attended a gym for biking and the cybex machines, I attempted to flex like a body builder... what a joke. If I made a youtube video I'm sure it would go viral.
i have pd since 2008.before that mij body was flexible because i had exercized
a lot.now iam doing taichi, pilates and swimming but when i have to standup from the sofa i am very stiff and need 1 min to go forward, but besides that
i am going well.
I have the same problem. Bowen Therapy has been helping me. You can google Bowen Therapy Parkinson's or go to the Parkinson's Recovery Radio Show if you're interested. Here's a link.
you will definantly have muscle loss. my wife and i would play around and i could hold her down with ease, now i can't even hold her arms down.
I have lost 35 pounds and a lot of it is muscle . IT isn't pretty. I can't '"'make a muscle"'any more to show off to my granchildren. ANd I cannot open a jar of peanutbutter (or something else) any longer.. This new loss of strength is very scarey to me.
