Welcome; I hope you find this a helpful and friendly place.  How is your husband, and how are you too?  I am not so far behind at going on 22 years with PD.  When you are ready, I hope you will tell us more.

Hope you're both having a good day.

Moodyblue , Thank you. I am happy to join you. My love has enjoyed many daily activites, including writing a book on Parkinson from a layman's perspective. The past year has been one of a more rapid decline yet he still listens to books, surfs the internet, and is now thinking about getting a dog. How are you?

Bailey_Texas ,

My love is 72 years old on Tuesday. He is a very bright man, and handsome. His physicians often comment on what extraordinary insight he has on his health and thinking about Parkinsons. I am employed at a university with expertise in employment disability and serve on a state council for independent living.

BeckyBB , It has been a challenging month, as you can see from my recent posts. The high doses of Rytary drove my love into paranoia, fearful that people were outside his bedroom window and trying to break in and shoot him. This was resolved while hospitalized to adjust his meds while observing him. He is now feeling secure again, now that the delusions have subsided. We have more help, and I am grateful to have been able to have him home instead of a longterm care facility. My friends and family, and network has helped to shore me up through this. We look forward to a more normal coming week together. Thank you for asking.

My mom went through that very same thing. A real torment. I'm sooo glad the paranoia has subsided -- for both of you. You can't put a price on peace of mind!
