Hello,I was diagnosed with PD in December of last year aged 49 and my symptoms were very much like yours.I hope your getting the support that you need.Am on sinmet 25mg/100th which sometimes helps with the symptoms and sometimes it doesn't I guess its early days and over time get my medication right. So it was last year that you were diagnosed and you said about your symptoms are they having a effect on your day to day living?

Thanks for replying. I was diagnosed last December at Edgware Hospital. My medication is 14mg of Ropinirol. I try to carry on as before, I to not get any support. I have never in my working live ask or received help from the goverment. I still do my own housework and shopping, also I go swimming about twice a week and go and see Queens Pk Rangers, but the tremors can be of puting ,but nobody as said anything. albert

Be careful with Ropinirol it caused me to gamble a lot when you have this type of side affect you do not know you are doing anything wrong it is normal to you.

how young are you

the tremors don't bother most people it is most likely you are more aware of them than the people you are around

I just tell people I have Pd and answer any questions they have

I am 61 (9 years with pd) and you can not tell I have Pd I have adjusted my Meds to suit my day

I work out 5 or 6 times a week doing Crossfit just google it exercise is vital to your treatment but it must vary not the same thing every time and must push you to your limits

the stronger you get the better you will feel it has taken me 9 months to get to my current fitness level

today this what i did at work out

ran 200 meters

jump rope 150 times

did 30 good mornings (hold a 45 pound bar bell on your shoulders and bend at the waist)

dead lift 275 pounds 3 times

dead lift 295 pounds 3 times

50 push ups

50 pull ups

45 burbees (google it)

walked 200 meters

squatted and held it for 2 minutes

and will walk 3 miles later today

and do a small work out with my wife

My problem with Ropinole is eating to much ,I have just started cutting down on eating to much . My weight went up a stone and a half. I am 64years old soon to be 65 and 5ft 7ins tall. Will try some of the exercise you suggested on the days I am not swimming. I do not have a car ,I use public transport. So I do quite a bit of walking. And I should tell people I have pd ,I will do from now on. albert

wish u well

Went to Parkinson's Barnet and Brent branch on the 7th Oct. Found it very interesting. There was a Dr Jon Stamford a Neuroscientist giving a talk about Parkinson's. Glad I went.
