I'm looking forward to the Stamp Out Parkinson's Walk on October 12,2013. This will be my 2nd year of walking and I'm proud to say I raised over $1500.00 for the cause!!
I have 30 people walking with me who donated $25 each, great year.

Well done you...any tips for starting something in uk? Research into natural cures would be good.
Thank you, Annie81963. I found it listed as Moving Day Atlanta-Walk for Parkinson's, and
it is on November 9, 2013, at Georgia Tech on Atlantic Drive, Atlanta.
So many events etc all over, a chance to meet new people and see what's out there . I'm going to participate every year for as long as I can.
Last year my daughter and son in law rode there bikes in a 30 mile ride for PD,very large turn out!
The best way to deal with Parkinson's is to walk, three times a week for one hour! In my humble opinion, the walking should be done at just less than the fastest pace you possibly can, In that way, our brains produce GDNF (Glial Derived Neurotrophic Factor), which repairs the damaged brain cells. YES, our brains actually heal the Pd! So what are we all waiting for? If we walk everys day or for more than one hour, we do not get a better result. We can cause injury to our muscles and do more harm than good.
