I take no meds..recite affirmation. I really want to release my subconscious emotions of. Pride and scorn now and forever.

From kinaesiologist..works for me. Say 20 times for 30 days and top up if it recurs...it diminishes acetycholine in your body..apparently! it helps me.

I take Gaberpentin and have been doing so for about 3 months. I did not want to take it and researched it thoroughly before taking it. I take it for sciatic pain. At first it gave me 100% relief, is now about 80%. I am unwilling to up the dosage. I have, so far. not had any side effects.

Thanks Court. I've decided to hold off for now. I'm trying something my personal trainer recommended. It's called Directional Non Force Technique (Google). I would have sworn it was going to be a useless procedure when I had my first treatment but it really did work.

Make sure you take a supplement with the combination of alpha lipoic acid and acetyl l carnitine. Gabapentin depletes acetyl l carnitine and can cause memory loss and depression. Also, ala and alcar is a synergistic combination because they amplify each other to the tune of 100 to 1,000 percent. Taking one is fine but both together is great. You can find ALA+ALCAR at Wallmart of 9.00 for a 25 month day supply. Plus, both are antioxidents and help the body produce glutathione (which Parkinson's/RLS patients have a glutathione deficiency.)

I take Gabapentin for sciatic type pain associated with bursitis on both sides and no doubt indirectly connected to PD stiff muscles. Originally the pain was at night and GP said 1-3 tabs as required. However two other medical professionals said it worked better as a course of tablets, i.e. take the effective dose daily whether you have pain that day or night. It works by calming down the sciatic nerve and I had several months free of pain after a month of taking it. Some take it for a three month period. I am lucky and find that just one capsule enables me to sleep if that's the current problem but at the moment its driving that is triggering the sciatica so I take it in the day as and when needed..
