Wwhat I did without you. Does anyone/everyone simply collapse (for lack of a better way of putting it), without warning?

yes Anemone i have several times. happens to me more in middle of the nite. if i have been in bed and get up because i can't sleep . i will seem to be fine when i first get up and maybe for even several steps and than all of a suddne my ankles , kness , hip, freeze up and my legs feel like a wrung out wash clothe and i i just go down like a pile of towels that someone dropped. i have been lucky that i haven't been hurt, one nite i couldn't get up and couldn't get my husband to wake up, so i fell asleep and stayed there for an hour or two, until my husband got up. this seems to come in spurts . i haven't talk to the dr about it yet because i haven't seen him. so i don't have a clue for u why

Thanks. Maybe you could wear a whistle around your neck--call for hubby (unless he can't hear well). Hope your collapsing eases up.

Hi,

Actually, you said something I hadn't thought of--when I go down like this it's rather like a rag dropping in a heap--no falling flat on my head or such. Sorry about the bruises. Take care.

My body has been bruised and battered, the last fall I had, I broke a finger. I was alone in the house and could not get up. I remember how cold the wood floor felt under me. I had to wait until my daughter returned from school to help me up, I had no strength and was shaking badly, she said it took forever to get up. If you were to look at my legs, they are very muscular and I am physically strong, but during these episodes, my body may as well be jello!

So I can relate to the "rag dropping in a heap"!

Another type of fall I have had felt as if I had been puched in the stomach and "flew" forward, that was strange.
