Red Blood Cell count not high enough to see Hematologist

Hello Fellow RA Buddies 😊

Well the Hematologist called my GP to let him know that my red blood cell count wasn't high enough to consult!

Good & bad news...I thought the Polycythemia that my doctor diagnosed me with was adding to my fatigue & terrible brain fog. The Hematologist said that high red blood cell count is due to either smoking and/or stress! So since I don't smoke it must be the stress...Duh!

The financial stress alone is killing me😡So I am reading my son's college book about relaxation & stress. Hope it helps...maybe I will find hundreds tucked away between the pages😀

My red blood count is also high. I think I read somewhere that it can be elevated from inflammation. Hope that book helps!

Hopefully, you will try meditation. That helps me with stress.
