For centuries, people have suggested that there might be a link between the weather and pain, but so far scientists have been unable to prove these links. “Cloudy with a Chance of Pain” is a major new research study that aims to use mobile phones to help answer this question.

Do you want to join us helping to find some answers? Do you have a smartphone (iPhone or other smartphone), and have you experienced arthritis or other pain problems for the past three months?

If so, you may be able to take part in our study by recording your symptoms alongside weather data collected using your phone. You will be able to see how your symptoms change alongside changes in the weather, as well as helping to develop new scientific findings about the links between weather and pain.
