Circulation causing bruising??

Hi, I’m a 71 yr old female with angina, late onset asthma and osteoporosis. All reasonably controlled with medication. My reason for joining this forum is that I’ve had problems with my legs for over a year now and my Gp can’t find a conclusive answer.

What happens is my lower legs periodically develope bruises that follow the same path down my leg to my ankle, then fade and come back again in the same place weeks later. They don’t hurt. I haven’t knocked or injured myself. They just appear in roughly the same place, time after time. (Mostly in left leg)

I’ve taken photos to catalogue what happens but can’t find an answer as to why it happens.

I would be more than grateful if anyone could throw any light on this problem.

Thank you in advance.

Thank you so much. I’d almost given up that anyone would reply. I am due to see my Gp again as have now been told I have anemia.

Anemia will do this. I too have the bruising and Anemia is a big reason why. Were you able to get a firm diagnoses and treated for your Anemia? I have been fighting Anemia now for over a year. I have had 8 blood transfusions too. Looking forward to seeing an update. Hope you are doing well.
