My back pain is triggered by cold temperatures - immediately goes to acute and it's like being stabbed in the back and someone is turning the knife. Doesn't seem to come on with movement and is not made any worse when moving and is not a stiffness thing or sciatic type pain. I do have some scoliosis and spondylosis but only minor. I have some hypermobility and can still touch the floor flat handed in my 60's. I survive by wearing a heated jacket for about 8-9 months of the year, but have to be careful not to walk in the cold areas of the supermarket in the summer as this can floor me as my pain can go from 0-10 in seconds.
