Hello wolves1959, welcome to our community. You will find folks here are very supportive and empathic, and many will share similar experiences to yourself.

I'm sorry you are having a difficult time of it at the moment. Hospital waiting lists are a problem. Did you use the 'choose and book' service with your local NHS, which often gives more than one option of hospital to choose from, sometimes they use private hospitals paid for by NHS, and you can sometimes get in earlier. Here a link for more information: nhs.uk/NHSEngland/appointme...

Are they going to offer you some physio in the interim who can assess and advise a range of movement exercises to keep the joint mobile. As you have Parkinson's are you under the care of a local Movement Disorder Clinic with specialist neuro- physiotherapists, neuro- Occupational Therapists, and other therapy services, who can also give you support and advice. If you ask your neurologist consultant, GP or do a Google search for one in your area, then ask for a referral.

Really hope this helps, and that you can get some support.

Best wishes
