Pain in the liver area is not a typical symptom of cirrhosis. The liver itaelf has no pain receptors so technically no such thing as liver pain. When the liver is in an inflamed and enlarged state (which bloods would indicate) the liver can stretch the Glissons Capsule whoch surrounds it which can be sore. A cirrhotic liver tends to be smaller and shrunken so this isn't generally painful.

My hubby only ever gets twinges of pain in his cirrhotic liver when he's under great stress, like when his Dad died.

I think it could be pancreatitis
