Hi all, does any body know how to work out your elf score from your blood results.
Eg
What results do you need and is there a equation to work it out.
Thanks
Darren

I think your consultant has to specifically ask for the ELF blood test.
Normal bloods do not include enough info.
Update on my fibroscan.Hi All
Just a quick update on my results from last month, my results were 74 and 75 in Birmingham, since then I've had a CT scan and a biopsy yesterday, so now just waiting for the results
I'm worried but know they will try everything to see what's going on,
As I'm only one year post transplant.
Is it possible that the bile buct damage has caused all this or the severe rejection I had a possible cause?
Thanks in advance.
Darren.
Roy1955 is correct, the ELF (Enhanced Liver Fibrosis) test is a specific test that needs to be ordered by your doctor - it isn't something you can calculate yourself.

Hello,A simple combination ofcirculating extracellular matrix components, such as hyaluronic acid (HA), amino-terminal propeptide of type III procollagen (PIIINP) and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase-1 (TIMP-1), was proposed for noninvasive assessment of fibrosis associated with NAFLD. The ELF score is calculated based on the special equation. An ELF score ≥9.8 should be used as an indicator of severe fibrosis.
