Is anyone taking hepatek and if so What's your thoughts on it please?

I would say avoid like the plague, unless you have discussed this with a liver doctor or it's prescribed.

Just looking it up on the internet there are warnings associated with it :-

"Heparek Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Heparek Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor."

Even the company who manufacture it say on the packaging 'No Approved Theraputic Claims' i.e. it's not properly tested as a medicinal product and is sold as a Food Supplement.

Don't waste your money on something that can potentially harm your liver even more.

Thanks Katie. It was prescribed by a doctor but a doctor out here in the Philippines. I read the disclaimer on the packet which sounded alarm bells! The only positive I can see is that it contains silymarin which comes from milk thistle which is supposedly good for the liver. Jx
