Gall bladder inflammation without the presence of gall stones - if this is a diagnosis you actually have then you need to discuss it with your doctors.

We can assume if it's an actual diagnosis that they are in discussions with their doctor. I've never heard of a doctor saying "you have acalculous cholecystitis but I'm not going to discuss it with you." What if everyone just said "go discuss it with your doctor?" What would be the point of this website? I pulled up one of your posts ["Just wondering if anyone here has been diagnosed with cirrhosis induced diabetes also known as Hepatogenous Diabetes."] where you're asking similar questions and were met with people trying to help and comfort you, what if it was just a bunch of people saying "go talk about it with your doctor?"

Can we try to be a little more helpful to people who were just given a worrisome diagnosis please?

agree -you need support and we all strive for information off other people who may have knowledge!

I think if you were to view my profile in full and the 10 years worth of support and advice I have shared on this forum you'd find that where appropriate I have provided lots of sound advice and guidance. The reason I ask this poster if it is actually a diagnosis they've been given and whether it has been discussed with a doctor is because we get many posters who do self-diagnosis on Dr Google and this condition seems to be one which is very serious and potentially with a high mortality rate plus is generally seen in patients on life support secondary to serious trauma and burns - It is not stated that they have actually been told they have this condition or if it had been discussed with their doctor which needs to be the first port of call rather than a forum of unqualified yet well meaning lay people.

I was diagnosed with NAFLD through ultrasound and did a stool test as a followup that indicated I have low bile output, so there does seem to be some type of correlation, at least in my case. It's a chicken or the egg thing though, did slow bile output cause fatty liver or did fatty liver cause slow bile output? In any case, I've changed my diet radically and have felt much relief, mostly by taking logs of what foods trigger bad symptoms and then removing from my diet completely, I hope that helps.

Part of my regular check up, I was recommended to have an abdominal ultrasound. They found that my liver has mild fatty infiltration and my gallbladder was very constricted which could be due clinically to acalculous cholecystitis. They recommended that I follow-up with my doctor to do a cck administration for further diagnosis.Despite mild aches on the right, all is fine I have an appointment next week with my gastro enterologist

My ALT is 64 and my AST is normal. Everything else is normal
