hemangiomas on my liver

Hi

I’ve just been told by my doctor today after having ultra scan for upper tummy pains !!

Everything was fine except, I have a hemangiomas on my liver and that they will do another scan in a year to check on it !!

I was a bit gobsmacked so didn’t asked any questions ! Iam worrying now what this all means … does anyone on here have any information?

Haemangioma are one of the many types of benign liver lump. Totally harmless unless they grow and cause blockages. My hubby has several plus cysts (plus cirrhosis but that's nothing at all to do with the lumps and bumps).

I'd be surprised if your haemangioma was in any way related to your liver area pain.

Hi Katie I thought I had replied to you earlier sorry, but thank you for all your information, I’ve been reading your posts about your husband , my god his been through the mill…and you have been a fantastic wife to him also.

Treatment for haemangiomas is usually dependent on the size and location, sometimes they are just monitored. If you feel you still have questions about this then you can request to speak with your doctor.
