Hi, do I need to inform my driving insurance company of compensated cirrhosis?

Since the equality act came into force a car insurance company can not discriminate against you due to disability (they can't ask you about it or charge you extra unless they implement a risk assessment which says you are a higher claim risk) and only if you have a DVLA notifiable condition or your doctor tells you to stop driving or your licence medically suspended would you need to tell the insurer of your condition.
There are numerous conditions listed on the DVLA webite as notifiable some of which may or may not be present even in compensated cirrhosis.
Keep yourself right. Wierdly HE is isn't on the list unless it's linked in with something else that's there. gov.uk/health-conditions-an...
My hubby has not been told to quit driving just decided for himself that he's unsafe but he's on meds for HE so hasn't driven for years.
