my husband has been told that he has a displaced liver and is waiting for a scan. He has stomach pains and feels exhausted and is now worrying over what could be wrong. He takes medication for epilepsy, high blood pressure, high colestrial and warfarin and has a pace maker.Any ideas?

Hi
Not being a medic I can't hazard a guess, they will need to see what is happening. All I can say is that if he eats and drinks sensibly it will help. The British liver trust and the nhs uk websites have some helpful information about healthy eating and portion sizes. I have found portion sizes useful, despite being mobility restricted I have lost some weight. Gentle exercise regularly also helps. The doctor can help with how gentle or strenuous it can be. The main thing is to make it sustainable. There is no point going crazy with the exercise and then stopping. I've done that as best I could and The result was i wanted to comfort eat. My vice is comfort eating and got me in the pickle in in with my liver.
The other main thing is to try to relax. A lot easier said than done. But trying to diet my prescription meds out has helped me sleep better, but still not brilliant, has helped my body to start helping itself.
Wishing you all the best
