Fresh red Blood through anus

Hi

My father age 62, chronic liver cancer patient. From last 2 days, fresh red blood is coming from anus.

Did anyone faced such a situation?

Please share your experience...

I don't have liver cancer but do suffer with ulcerative colitis which can cause a lot of rectal bleeding. In my experience bright red blood is not overly concerning, normally this is due to over straining or a hemaroid, doctors are generally more concerned if the blood is very dark. This indicates that it is from higher up in the system.

Of course as I said I don't have liver cancer or any experience of it so please take this with a pinch of salt. Like I said any bleeding should be discussed with your medical professionals.

maybe useful info. red blood mean fresh bleed,black means recent bleeding. different possibilities as follows: rectal or renal bleed. more than a table spoonful , recommend a dr visit. hemmaroids bleed for over a day,see your dr. and lastly upper or lower gi bleed o esoph. vericies. thanx for letting me share this.

If your father in law is passing any blood from his back passage then he should be seen immediately by a doctor, they are best placed to accurately advise him.

He might just have hemorrhoids they bleed bright red, if he was bleeding out it wouldn't be bright red , probably brownish red
