Doctor recommends only to have natural food and fruits - the extra supplements were not recommended. Lets see other members say

if its really required doctor will suggest the same...otherwise no need to take it...as such there is no restriction in taking a vitamin supplement during chemo..

Yes, natural food is definitely best irrespective of the fact that you are healthy or ill. I am not a doctor but I think multivitamin & multimineral should definitely be taken by all, especially if you are undergoing chemo.

There is no restriction for taking any Vitamins during chemo. I am not sure why your Oncologist has advised against it, you can clarify your doubt with him.

ran, taking supplements like iron and folic acid will help to increase blood level....but dont take any supplement without your oncologist approval...in my wife case for chemo dr said better to have minimum 8.5...
