thnx shirdi. we all r trying our best to support her. but she has two children- 13 year old daughter and 8 year old son. sometimes when she thinks bout them....its eally hard to console her

it is very difficult to console some one and i can understand it. it was also very difficult for me also and it took a long time. When i had gone to onko department in hospital and saw lots and lots of people were in worst condition on that day i accepted the truth that i have this illness otherwise i was continously telling that it can never happen to me

so it will take time for her to accept

There are many good oncologists in Jaipur. Getting treatment for your aunt should not be a problem there. And as shirdi said above, keep up the support.

Correct treatment will ensure a good survival.

What stage of cancer has she been detected with?

thnx Doc. She is taking treatment from Bhagwan Mahaveer Cancer Hospital and Research Centre. She is been detected with the second stage. Doctors have adviced for a surgery on 22nd August'2013. Can u please tell me if undergoing such a surgery in Jaipur is ok or not. What precautions we can take before and aftre surgery? What will be the next step after this?

She is around 43- 45 years of age

Hi Prakriti. Very sorry to hear about your Masi. Even my sister was detected in the month of February. Till then have gone through various treatments - surgeries, chemo, radiation.

Chemo - your doctor will ask for chemo - my sister has undergone 6 cycles . This has given after a gap of 21 days

Hi prakriti sorry to hear about ur Masi , I am one of the survivor of breast cancer , I would just like to tell u till her treatments start pls ask her to take good diet as it will help her in her surgery as well as her chemotherapy , she should drink a lot of liquids and take fresh fruits and green vegetables this will helpin the cells increasing ,u might find this funny but no dear the cancer cells in our body increase if they r given their type of food that is sweets junk food and etc but If they r given healthy good like fruits and others as mentioned they don't eat them and r starved so it is necessary to keep ur immune system strong
