Flu shot
Mine. Didn't either ,but my GP did , I have had one every year . Xx talk to your GP . X
No,but my GP did, better safe than sorry,we've all got enough to deal with, without getting flu, your immune system is lower than average,so look after yourselves, stay away from people with coughs ands colds, wrap up warm, but get fresh air and a bit of exercise, that's what I was told, good luck.xx
I was told not to have the flu jab whilst on chemo but then to have it every year. I am automatically called for jab each year from my GP
I was told to have flu injection during chemo but had to have it week before my chemo session and have continued to have it since
My GP recommended it when I was having chemo last year. I timed it so I had the jab on my "good" week of chemo and didn't have any problems with it. I had never had one before and haven't had one this year
Hi my gp gave it to me before i started my chemo got it again this year.
There are clear poster up in the Oncology department at my local hospital advising what you can & cant have during chemotherapy. 'Flu jab is highly recommended (as are most other things from memory). The show stopper is any "live" vaccination where you are injected with the actual virus that you are immunising against. Flu jabs are fine because they do not contain "live" cultures. X
I was told to get it before chemo started and have had it since then , got my letter from gp to go get this years
