Midwife appointment

Hello, I'm currently 6weeks pregnant. Anybody knows when'll be my first appointment with midwife?

You need to make it happen yourself.

When I knew I was pregnant I went to see my GP- they gave me midwife number and I gave them a call and we agreed on date

I went to Gp, doctor said I send your details to midwife, she will send you letter on your home address :/

In this case don't worry much - just wait I think I went to see GP when I was 8weeks pregnant and saw midwife @ 10 weeks.

Ok Thanks, in first appointment midwife will scan or not?

You'll get a letter from the hospital when your scan will be- it can vary. It's called 12 week scan but I think my hospital was busy and I got mine only when I was nearly 14 weeks. Some ladies get it a bit sooner than week 12.x

I had to contact the midwife myself and she said we will have an appointment at 7-8 weeks to go through my medical history etc then scans will be booked after that but we have booked a private scan just to make sure everything is ok x

How much they charge for private scan. I'm in England

It's a company called body's can? They do early scans and mine is £89? X
