Hi does anyone know how long it takes for periods to return after the implant is removed?

Unfortunately no, I've been posting recently as mine has been out for 4 months and no sign at all. My doctor said with some people it can take time, she has recommended to me to go on the pill for a while as that will bring my period back.

Will that be a legitiamate period though? From the pill ? X

The doctor says to me that this pill gets your periods basically running back to normal so yes but even so coming off the implant everyone is different and it takes time.

I'm worried that when I get my period it won't be a legitimate one. That actually proves to my anxiety I'm not pregnant c

Hi there

Everyone is different but normally 4-6 weeks, but return to fertility is very quick, so you shouldn’t rely on not having a period as a sign you are not fertile. I would recommend using another method of contraception if you don't want to be pregnant.

I hope this helps

Best wishes

Katherine

I'm going to use another method.

However my concern is that the period may not be legitimate x
