Has anyone tried cbd for osteoporosis. Did it help

Hi panda,

My understanding is that CBD oil could be beneficial in relieving pain and/or anxiety.

I don’t think it has anything to do with bone metabolism. If you are in pain from a fracture due to osteoporosis it may help. Before you try it you need to research and find out if it interacts with any meds you are on. I would say check with your doctor but I doubt they would recommend it.

I take it from your other post that you have recently been diagnosed with osteoporosis?

Thanks for the info yes I have osteoporosis and received letter today asking me to go for another bone scan. The will ask my doctor next time I see her

Why do you think they want another bone scan?

My last scan was 3 years ago and have several falls and a fractured elbow and spine. I think to see if my bones have got much worse.

So sorry to hear that. It sounds like a good plan to get the scan then you can go from there. It’s all pretty confusing and nobody wants a drug with lots of side effects. I just had a scan and my femur, hips and neck were more than 100% of normal. My spine, however, has edged into osteoporosis. For now I’m ok I’ll see how things look in a couple years.

My last scan showed osteoporosis of the spine. As you advise i will wait for latest test results before thinking of alternative medication.
