Today is International Women’s Day; a day to celebrate and support women all over the world.

We know the world becomes a better place when people support one another. This is a lesson that HealthUnlocked members have taught us a thousand times over, through the inspiring messages of understanding, care and dedication you show to each other, everyday.

Today, the HealthUnlocked team has taken the opportunity to mention a few women who we feel have made this world a better place, and on whose shoulders the next generation stand, letting more women (and people!) reach further than ever before. For you, and for all women, we are eternally grateful.

Join us in the replies and share the women you would like to celebrate!

I was meant to live to help others and give them hope, and to never give up keep fighting.Because I never gave up. I've helped others live and not give up.There are so many I've helped and there wonderful replys. This is why I won't give up I'm a going to help as long as I can. If I have to go I want people to know never give up live life. Love susiejo

Thank you MaddieHU for that information. Some of the names are familiar, but I learnt some others that I did not know about. Thanks again.

Thanks Maddie HU - we need to think about all the marvellous women in the word - many of whom are 'invisible' in terms of their amazing - often daily contributions to making life

better for many others. I think there are millions of untold stories - stories never ever told and yet we can see the consequences of so many positive efforts by women in the world around us. So today I celebrate all these women - the mothers, daughters, sisters and friends as well as the more prominent feminists and activists who sometimes take risks and put themselves 'out there' for the benefit of all of us !!
