Like eating disorders, it is a manifestation of an internal process, which is often unconscious. It is about control, or rather feeling that we are not in control of our lives. OCD is another example and it is often difficult to point to the origin. As this beautifully described post says, it wasn't clear the source of the anxiety, but manifested in the pulling out of the eyebrows.
How people deal with their anxieties, feelings of helplessness, disgust with themselves, is important. Not everyone wants therapy but the writer has endeavoured to accept herself for who she is, which is very important. Accepting oneself, feeling that we are "normal" is a great achievement for the writer.
Hi nice to meet you.I want ed to get to know all of you behind the scenes that makes these sites and community's possible. I'm on a few but the lung cancer site is my favorite. I had lung cancer stage3 inlympnodes. Some one. Was watching over me. I am now almost a 6 year Survivor .I help the new ones and the others on here are family to me. I have 16 followers. I give them hope If I can make it then they maybe they can. They don't want me to leave they tell me they need me and the new ones. What all happens behind the scenes. I have always. Wanted to meet everyone.on site they say I helped make it a success
