Posh paper

Hi all, I’m in self isolation. My son pushed a few paper thro the letter box amongst them the Financial Times ( yes, that wot I thought ). In a stellar thought moment I decided to cut it into squares 12 x 12 punch a hole through em, the my old army bootlace through and hang it on the loo wall. The whole process took under an hour

I smiled to think that the Financial Time would be suffering the same fate as the Stock Market. GOING DOWN THE PAN.

If you try this don’t use the glossy magazine supplement

The way people are buying toilet roll we may all have to go back to the good old days. Have a lovely day and take care of yourself 😊 Bernadette xx

You can't flush newspaper down the loo, it'll get blocked and then not only would you have no loo paper, but no loo eithe!🤔

Interesting point. Poemsgalore. We plebs used newspaper all the time in the 30s unto the intro of soft cheap rolls. The alternative was San Izal paper. In its favour newspaper disintegrates rapidly. Unlike these dreadful wipes. They need banning.

I remember Izal, and my family also used newspaper. Reveille and Tit Bits comes to mind. As well as the Daily Sketch and our local rag.

lol, remember having to do that when we ran out of the (tracing paper) Izal toilet paper. Mum had us tearing the newspaper into squares.

Seriously, NO!! We have no idea what carcinogens are in the ink. Times have changed, there are far more noxious chemicals in the world since the time when we were using newspaper for bog roll (which I remember quite well).
