I have used Insure2Go in the past who on learning about my Emphysema agree to insure me for anything except that which I always think is fine as I take my emergency pack with me thinking that if I have a flare up I have antibiotic and steroids which should be enough to get me home. Never had a problem although I realise its a risk

We went to allclear for our Insurance

I was refused by a few other companies we had a 10 day holiday in Majorca last year they wanted £1200 for that cover I then asked for a multi cover 12 months this was £1500 so we decided to take the year cover and have at least two holidays in that period

We also went to O2 for the oxygen the Imogen 16 cell battery give you 6hours at 2 ltr flow

Hope this helps

I have an inogen one ,do you take it abroad without any problems, onboard or do you ask permission as with oxygen cylinders, if I find a reasonable insurance I will go into it . I have had quite a few replies thank you all everyone is very kind.

Try Allclear. They took me on when even Saga and Staysure declined!!

I have been with Nationwide travel insurance for about 8 years now. I am covered for: Rhuematoid Arthritis; oliterative bronchiolisus; sjergrens syndrome and a hernia. 1 year cover for husband and me £180.00, I do have free travel insurance basic with Nationwide, so the £180 is for upgrading on medical and my husband. I think it is even better than reasonable!

Thank you I’m going to put them all in my search and hopefully come up with an amount that’s doable. Janet.

The Imogen would be ok on a flight providing it’s got enough battery charge in it ,you need the 16 cell one hired from 02 ,

You can’t take cylinders on the flight ,you will also need to have a flight test for your oxygen it will tell you if you need it to fly plus what rate of flow on the Imogen contact your oxygen nurse

Good luck I hope you manage to get away

You could go on a cruise from the uk you would need to have a flight test for that but still take the Imogen
