Hi Fran, sorry for the long Delay in replying to you. I have been resting, and talking on Wassap Video to my Grandchildren(in Spain) which was wonderful and exhausting. I am now on Oxygen, I'm finding that the Mornings after my Inhalers I am free from my Oxygen for most of the morning By 2 pm I need a little help. It's only my first day home so I have to experiment with the good Breathing Times and the Need Oxy Times. Hubby looking after me this week, Cannot go out, and I'm to take things slowly, No Visitors yet, definitely None with Sniffles. It is a good procedure, I feel as I was Lucky for it to work, not everyone has that privilege. Well my Friend, I bid, Buenas Noches y Hasta Manana por un Dia Bueno con Sol y Flores. Abrazos y Besos Amigas . xxxxxx

dear carolina.i think you really need to pace yourself this week, although the procedure is minimally non invasive those airways that have received the valves will need time to recover as will the rest of your lungs to adapt to their new environment.you are quite delicate at this stage and need to contain your natural enthusiasm to do things and your joie de vivre and accustom to the new you.......love and best wishes Ski's and Scruff'xxx

Thanks Skis, Yes, I Agree with you, I am taking things very slowly for me, not that I was ever that fast before. I do have a Cough which I was aware would happen and Respiritory are phoning me to check up on my sats. I do miss my exercises, and the joy of being with People, That will all have to wait though, Computer, Phone and Hubby will have to do for now Ha Ha. Love to you and Scruffita, Estar es muy amable , Besos. Love n Hugs, XXXXXXX

So very happy for you and hopefully as time goes on and your lungs adapt you will no longer need oxygen at all. Good luck in your follow-up next month and I am hoping and praying you will see a significant improvement in your lung function. I am sure your husband is pleased to hear you shouting louder than you have for awhile. :)

beautiful and how lovely for you to be oxygen free

Hacienda profile image
Hacienda in reply to watergazer

Hi Hun, 1 week later, I'm not oxygen free, just having it less, I find the mornings after taking my Inhalers are good and i'm not gasping for Breath.. By 3pm , I need a little Canular input. and I still sleep with it on all night, so from 24/7 (SOB) oxygen, having some freedom from it is a Blessing and I can plan to do more. Love n hugs Carolina xxxx

That's great news - what a lovely change for you. Hope you don't mind me putting dampener on your wonderful outcome, but did they say there may be some degeneration after any length of time? xx

Hacienda profile image
Hacienda in reply to Dedalus

Hi Hun, Yes, 2 Years, then they can be replaced, of course, that is if I don't get my Transplant in the meantime. I will keep having regular check ups and will look after myself, But The Procedure was Good and I was expecting only 2 and got 4, so well pleased how I am now. Love n Hugs xxxxx

Dedalus profile image
Dedalus in reply to Hacienda

Wow, that is so positive! Hope you do get your transplant before then, but its still comforting to know that the valves can be replaced later if necessary. I have had a good result by changing inhalers recently, but after reading your post I will definitely be asking (again) for a referral. Thank you Caroline - enjoy your new breathing x

So good to hear how well you are after the procedure. Your pots are very pretty too :)

That sounds wonderful Carolina. And the fact that you can hang your laundry without oxygen! Simply amazing!!

You have a lovely garden too. How nice to be able to sit there. 😊 Do keep the updates coming. It will be wonderful to know how you are coping.

Morning Dear Cas, Yes I will keep you updated on my progress, this Morning after having my Oxygen on all night (as usual), I got off to a slow start, Once I had my two main Inhalers, I started to breathe naturally. Going for my Second Coffee now and Turn my Oxygen off for the Morning till much Later in the day for a Booster. I seem to have developed Hay Fever, the Sneezing is immense and nose bleeds happen, which doesn't worry me, I don't know if I can use an anti Histamine ? I 'll phone Respiritory later. Love n Big Hugs my Dear Cas, Hope your feeling Better now? XXXX

Hi my Dear Cas, I hope by now your not struggling as much. I've had my first Visitors Today, loved them being here all clear of any sniffles, fed them ,and had a general good chat. At this time of day I am on my Oxygen, but I'm going for a Little Sleep, so may not need it later. Love & Big Hugs, XXXXXX

Oh Happy Days xxx
