I love the Isle of Wight, been there three times. Once - 2010 i think - I had an exhibition at St Mary's hospital about bike journeys I had done on the Kent and Sussex coast connected with lung disease. We stayed overnight in the doctors' quarters. Other time we stayed in Ryde. I'd like to visit again next year. I live in Whitstable which is lovely but I really envy you living on the Isle of Wight, which incidentally is where my parents met after the war. :)

Hi, I live on the Isle of Wight and have COPD alongside my mother. I do know that the pollen and pollution levels have got worse over the years and the green algae that you see at Ryde, sometimes, is meant to be bad for your lungs.

I've seen a variety of consultants at St Marys, unfortunately they were locums and some of them could not speak English very well.

What are your experiences?
