Pulmonary fibrosis and copd

Can anyone share their experiences with me please.....mum mum has pulmonary fibrosis and only diagnosed 3 weeks ago after being in hospital for 17 days with pneumonia. She has copd also. My thoughts are that shes in the end stage of lung disease. On oxygen and cant breath just moving room to room. Bedtime is a nightmare and showers also....shesvon oxygen and still can't breath if she moves about....so scared....lost dad a yr ago to psp, another illness to which there was no cure and I joined healthublocked then . If anyone on hete can share their experiences with me I'd be gratefull....is she in final stages cos its all very scary 😣😣😣 xx

Hi Gel68, it is very difficult for anyone here to know whether your mum is in the final stages. It is the case, with any chronic disease, to try and make your loved one as comfortable as possible and for them to find peace. I am sure you are supporting her the best you can. All we can do here is send kindness, warmth and support.

Thanku yes I know. I was on here a year ago joined pap site cos of my dad....all your words are comfort i just really don't know what to think rite now. Shes allways asleep and cant breath if she moves...just still waiting for consultant to tell her because shes unaware of it all xx
