Pseudomonas
Sorry can't help - fortunately never had it.
Hi Victoe. You must see your GP again. Pseudomonas is very difficult to treat as it often colonises the lungs, meaning it stays for ever but does go into remission with treatment.
Nebulising Gentamicin or Colymycin is the normal procedure if oral antibiotics fail.
Have you got a nebuliser? If not you might be loaned one from your respiratory team or GP.

Hi James , no never tried a nebuliser, next Tuesday I'm going for a bronchoscope to see what they find. Told me they was going to take a biopsy and wash the lung out so will no more next week. I have had this pseudomonas for about 12 years having come back from India on a holiday...
Thanks
One month's oral Ciproxin and nebulised Colomycin eliminated it for me. But since that bout of Pseudomonas in September 2015, I've stayed on nebulised Comycin to prevent further outbreaks. I've read that you can never get completely rid of Pseudomonas but it can be suppressed. I'm not sure if this is true or not but most people with Pseudomonas end up on a nebulised antibiotic to control it.
