Hi, medications can be very individual in nature. What suits one may not help another. My advice would be to go back to your GP and ask if there is an alternative. I think that if you look through previous post you are not alone and sometimes it takes time to find the combination of medications that will suit you.

I cannot answer that mate. As I said it's all very individual. Perhaps speaking to your pharmacist would be helpful. Mine is a font of knowledge and very good advice.

Ring your chemist he may be able to help. Does your GP have a respiratory nurse, she is there to give advice. You could also ring the BLF advice line.

Hi I haven't heard of eklira inhaler so cannot offer any advice. It does however sound as though you need to see you GP again and get a different inhaler. May not be the advice you want but GP's should know the full range of inhalers that may help.

There are a number of treatments you could be researching yourself but be careful the info on the net is often frightening. There are lung transplants, stem cell treatments, Lung coils and Lung valves, ideally discuss these possibilities with GP.

Hi Robert, America seems to be one of the few countries that have an active market in stem cell treatments. Try looking up The Lung Institute, they have a number of centres operating the treatments. One member of this forum did have treatment approx 12 months ago in one of these centres and at the last communication was begining to see & feel an improvement after approx 6 months. I would need to post him to see if he was happy to share his experience with yourself. In the meanwhile try looking on the Lung site the treatment lasted only about 3 days (actually in the centre) then there was travel which the centres indicate a preference of a 70 mile radius then return trips to check progress. I know it cost him something in the region of $8,000.

I will post him & see if he is willing to correspond.
