Several responses to the memorial threads for Vashti have been edited or deleted because they added nothing to the intent of the original poster, which was to honour Vashti and her memory.

Further posts abusing the moderators have also been deleted. Abuse of anyone breaches the guidelines of BLF and HU and may lead to restriction.

The moderators had discussed this very sad news and made the decision that formal regrets from them were inappropriate, and it should be left to members and Vashti's good friends to express their thoughts on this very sad occasion.

Perhaps members are not aware that the volunteer moderators are also COPD sufferers and members of this site. All had the greatest respect for Vashti, and on various threads yesterday they each expressed their own condolences to her family and friends, and their sadness at her passing.

The threads have all become very touching and fitting memorials to a popular and much-loved lady and we hope her family and friends will take much comfort from them during these sad days.
