Have a laugh at this cartoon, then tell me if whether or not you're cutting down on your sugar intake. Eric.

Yes. Trying to cut down on extra sugar. Of course there is sugar in fruit and vegetables it is the extra sugar found in processed foods and drinks that are the danger. Says she who had a chocolate croissant for breakfast this morning - a weekly treat! Lol.

Have never taken sugar in drinks,no doubt it is in lots of the food we eat.

Many moons ago I read that white sugar damaged your nerve endings ( bleaching processes ) so I always buy 'unrefined' or brown sugar, which tastes so good ! Yes I have a sweet tooth though not as many as I'd like hahaha😂 huff xxx

Trying to cut down on sugar Eric but I do struggle as I love my choccie. I don't take any sugar in hot drinks or on cereal but like sweets so have to be very aware of that.

Take care xxxx

No 😂😂, I don't have much sugar anyway, I'm more a savoury person, and I'm not being flippant with obesity or diabetis, but due to this illness I don't over think things either anymore, there's already to much I can't or shouldn't do, so now I'm , if I like it and I want it im having it. xx Sonia xx

Hi Eric, I never drink fizzy drinks & they contain an awful amount of sugar.

I'm quite a savoury person so love crisps. Not sure about sugar content in them but I'm sure they're fattening!

I love chocolate too so I'm very guilty of eating a lot of sugar.

Just had 2 chocolate brioches & a cup of tea. Does that count? 😂😂😂

Take care 🌷

velvet55 in reply to Jessy11

Hi Jessy

If you are having it as your breakfast...it doesn't count...nor does eating a large box of chocs for your dinner and another for your lunch...l would say you are allowed a large chocolate pudding after your meals also😂😂

I think it's the snacking in between meals that causes all the problems !! 😂😂

Hi Velvet, thank God for that! 😂😂😂

Yes I'm having all these chocolate goodies for meals! I'm glad it doesn't count!

I quite understand the snacking between meals would be a big no no!

I'm just glad I don't do that! 😂😂😂

Hi Jessy

Yes that's right...you are fine as long as you stick to three meals a day and keep away from the inbetween meals snacks....a large bar of chocolate in the evening or before bed is OK because that's Supper 😂😂😂😂😂

Glad you understand...must go my supper needs eating before it melts 😂😂

in reply to velvet55

A giant bar of Toblerone doesn't count because it is made of triangles.

Yes Jennifer but I think that means 1 triangle a day not the whole blooming lot at once! 😂😂😂😂

Hi Jenifer

As long as it's supper...tuck in and enjoy 😂😂

Thankyou velvet, I have your approval but I now have a quandry -

Am I restricted to a certain number - like 1 for breakfast, 2 for dinner, 3 for tea, 4 for supper, .....what about the little afters with coffee or tea in between, and what when I am peckish during the night? Do you think 4 for supper is enough? Maybe I should reverse - 4 for breakfast, 3 for dinner and so on, because 4 at night might make me thirsty then I'd have to get out of bed to clean my teeth and get a drink of water, but then I haven't accounted for elevenses and that 4.oclock break gap during the day. Best thing to do is to toss what is left on to the top of the kitchen cupboards - the big stepladders are in my garage and it is dark outside so I won't go looking for them, and the small step ladders are too small to reach high up unless I stand on some books and use the kitchen tongs to feel about for it.

Hee hee Jenifer.

The Best bet is be prepared for any hiccup.

Get the stepladders out of the garage in the morning and keep them in the hallway.

Or get lower kitchen cupboards or longer tongs.

Don't have a limit if it's mealtimes, and half a dozen inbetween meals treats never done me any harm.😂

Try and limit yourself to one giant bar a day😂😂

But the odd slip up five or six days a week should do no harm 😂😂
