I've had this before but they've gone down within 48 hours. This last week, though, they've been quite swollen so I was given diuretics. They are nearly back to normal now

Don't Google as some of the descriptions are a bit scarey !

Here is a link which explains it in less dramatic fashion.

The annoying thing is, you stop smoking then get told off for being overweight. Can't win either way it seems.

Hello bessymax, welcome to the site, well done stopping smoking! I munched my way through countless box's of pringles, sucked a million werthers originals, and I always advise people to have healthy nibbles standing by!

Please get to see your doctor so they can find the cause of the swelling!

Hello, welcome to BLF forum!

I don't have this but when I was pregnant I drank raspberry leaf tea as a natural diuretic - it might help until you see the doc.

In the meantime, when you put your feet up make sure your ankles are higher than your hips which aids drainage - that I do know about!

Well done you for quitting the cigs. I'm sure you'll lose that weight, you'll be a new woman soon.

I lost my dog in January plus moved home in April to where I know few people & put on a similar amount. I filled the void with chocolate etc & sat about not knowing what to do with myself. In 3 weeks I've lost 12lbs just from giving up the goodies and getting off my b*m.

Good luck at docs. P

thank you peege, I will get it off !! and the weight has added to my arthritis few more aches and pains because of it , its true how overeating and no exercise makes a big impact on any conditions you may have x

I have been eating too many cakes. I made some coffee cupcakes with butter icing. Although I gave a lot away, I gave in to temptation and had some,

They've all gone now. I have promised to make some for the park people and others. I will just have ONE,
