So mad

Just had a massive fight, I am so tired and angry. That is the very last time I ever pick a fight with a quilt cover it won and I feel like a sleep now. Any tips on how to avoid this? Xx

Get someone else to do it.

Or turn the duvet inside out and lay the quilt on the bed peg the top two corners pull it up. Or do what I've done go back to sheets and blankets, fitted bottom sheet, top sheet only tucked in the bottom and I have two light blankets. I'm lucky I don't feel the cold but if I do I've got a good old fashioned Eiderdown.

Yeah that's what I do. Turn the duvet cover inside out. Put your hands in to the far corners then grab the duvet at the corners and shake it on. It is the easiest way to do it. x

If you are handy with a needle you could slit down one side seam and put poppers or velcro down that side, then lay the cover on the bed turn back the top piece so that it is triangular and slide the quilt in then just fold the top part back and fasten down the side and across the usual fastening edge. Keep smiling.

Carole, That sounds a good solution, but all that sewing! I have a fight trying to push the thread into the needle eye, and then it pops out again!!! Ah well, I am a man and have never been good at sewing! never had lessons either! Mic xx

I suggest sitting down on the bed and having a serious chat with the offending quilt cover.Explain that you have breathing difficulties and you need the quilt cover to help you out a bit, most quilt covers are reasonable and will try and help.If the quilt cover refuses to help throw it in the bin, that,ll show it not to mess with you.Get some cheap blankets from eBay they,re very easy to get on with.Good luck.D.

I saw underneath a mention to sleeping bag. I must admit to be partial to a duvet or two! A sleeping bag many be the answer if you want to keep the duvet. I went once with my wife to her cousin in the winter. We were offered to sleep in sleeping bags that could be used outside in subzero temperature! Well, I don't know we are in summer now. But in winter, i like to have a beanie hat on! Now when I wake up at 4 am, I need an eye mask to help me slumber until 6.30!
