I am an oap and have bronchilitis and waiting on my dwp claim . Thought bronchiolitis obliterated refers to adults having it, not children. Can check it up on web.

My baby granddaughter had it recently - bronchiolitis, not obliterative. My daughter was told it was the baby/child form of bronchitis. Hers was viral so no antibiotics but she had free access to paediatric pulmonary ward at Stoke Mandeville if nec. for the duration. . . . Should we be worried for her future?

edit: crumbs, I just read the Popcorn Lungs link below. It must be awful for you guys who have it.

bronchiolitis in babies is quite common, and your granddaughter should be absolutely fine.obliterative bronchiolitis is very rare.Ithink the hospital secretary has made a mistake in her letter. However when dealing with the dwp you have to get your facts right.Thank you for your reply.

All the very best to you and your son. It must have been pretty difficult. It was hard enough when my son was dx asthma at 3, holding him all night long while he suffered. Tough being a mum at time. Warm wishes. P
