I've missed the last two sessions because of the chest infection, I suppose this happens to a lot of people!

This kitten is supposed to be doing exercises! :D

I have my first PR this afternoon. Excitement. Having a quiet sit down preparing myself for the onslaught!

Enjoy Annieseed xx

My husband finishes his course next week and there has been a number of sessions where people have been unable to attend. I think if you miss a number you can be deferred to next course. Keep going! Hope you recover quickly. TAD xx

Have fun at PR you two

If no one has mentioned it to you yet, a puff on the salbutamol (ventolin) about 15-20 mins before exercise can help you achieve so much more.

The other thing I have found useful is a cup of coffee before a walk out, doesn't suit everyone but I find it suits me :)

Enjoy your day.

Love that little kitty exercising :) Bless x

If i drank coffee before walking I would be stopping for a pee every few yards! The Ventolin puff before exercise works quite well for me. :-) :-) Alison

Thanks, BC. Iwill be reporting back later on, if I am still in one piece SMILEY

i missed a couple of sessions through a chest infection , but our sessions were on a rolling basis, just carried on where I left off, until I had the full number of sessions in

Like Whit, I had rolling sessions and the one I missed was just added at the end. I hope you have enjoyed the ones you did attend Hufferpuffer. x

Really well, Stitch. I came home feeling a healthy tiredness and more positive than I have for a long time. It would be so good to be more mobile and am looking forward to next Friday.

hi hufferpuffer I did a pulmonary rehab class last year it took me best part of the year to do it as I could only go one day a week because of work commitments. then I decided to do something really stupid just before the end of the course and managed to break my ankle.

You are probably thinking how could a 53 year old woman break her ankle wearing high heals? or falling over? nothing so sensible.

One Sunday after a couple of G and T s we went to the park with our grand daughter and of course as I was feeling well and happy I thought I would have a go on the monkey bars! Well you can geuss the rest fell off sat on my foot and bashed my nose on the ground. So ended up up with my leg in plaster and a broken nose. I am just glad that on that day I felt well enough to have a go. Will I do it again? probably not I will probably find something else that I think i can do on a good day! I still go to an exercise referral class an love it.

WOW! hopetorun ( love the name :) ) that was a disaster in the park! it's amazing how a couple of tasty G and T's can put you in the mood for lark in the park! this is not to be repeated no matter how tempting it is! all keeping fit should be done under a watchful eye! glad you're enjoying your exercise class I know its the best thing we can all do for ourselves definitely! Breaking your ankle must have been a nightmare! My ManFriday is about to go for an ankle 'fusion' operation after three 'failed ' operations 7 years ago! hope you stay safe, well and fit as you can! At the moment in rehab, I am the only person using oxygen whilst exercising! :D x

i usually go to pul rehab once per year and i always end up missing one to two weeks out of the eight week sessions due to chest infections, pul rehab is a god send to me for several months after I have fewer infections and generally feel more well, like me.

I have recently been told that I need a double lung transplant and am just getting my head around that one ,got till nov 23 to decide if I wish to go for tests or not to see if I'm capable of with standing the op,i must admit though the thought of a good lung full of fresh air that feels thick like soup is very appealing and even some thing as simple as the smell of a ladies perfume not being to strong to appreciate is once again some thing to look forward to.

well hope your feeling better now and try and keep the exercises up at home after pul rehab ,i walk from my front door to the rear of the house for half hour every night (hope the neighbours don't see) to prolong the effects of pul rehab.

take care and hope your winter is a good one.Dave
